Like a boy, but better!

Designers are inspired by the men's classics from chunky overcoats to sleek suits and stark shirts this fall. They are reshaping them for women, adding volume, elongated cuts.
Actress Ginnifer Goodwin was stunned in her Theyskens' Theory suit. Theyskens' Theory is a collection by Belgian designer Oliver Theyskens. His collection is full of fluid, romantic pieces with Theory's signature quality tailoring and clean silhouettes. Now he is the artistic director of the global Theory brand. He's offering a new point of view on modern fashion.

Karl Lagerfeld for Macy's

Karl Lagerfeld will design a collection for Macy's Impulse department this September,2011. His Macy's line is the first in the retailer's new designer series. In 2004, he designed a crossover collection for H&M. Lagerfeld joins other designers, including Vivienne Westwood, Versace, Paul Smith and Calvin Klein, who will be creating small collections for the department store, each collection will rotate every two month.

It's hard to imagine fashion -fan riots in Macy's over clothes, but personally I think this is the beginning of a new era. It's great for someone is not rich to be able to get something by a famous designer.

Royal Wedding Dress

As we are waiting to see Kate Middleton's dress during her wedding to Price William on April 29, I attached some previous royal wedding dress choices.
Princess Diana who married charles in 1981 wearing a creation of david and elizabeth emanuel, with 25 meters of silk and taffeta, tulle 19 meters, 137 meters of movie and 10,000 pearls.

My favorite royal wedding dress of all time has to be Princess Grace Kelly’s wedding dress, which was designed by MGM’s costume designer Helen Rose. Her inspiration was one of the ball gowns worn by the actress in the movie and with the help of 35 seamstresses, created this stunning lace and satin creation. The lace decorated upper bodice and high neck of the wedding gown was a decorous choice for an actress who could no longer have any doubt cast on her suitability as a royal bride and princess.
